Vinegar-Based Productions (VBP) is a full-service marketing agency serving the Triangle area of North Carolina. In honor of our 40^th anniversary, the team at Jennings Healthcare Marketing is launching VBP to serve local businesses. As the team that runs a nationally regarded healthcare marketing firm based in Chapel Hill, it was our desire to develop an offshoot of Jennings that would allow us to return to work with the local community and build strong bonds. While Jennings will continue to focus exclusively on healthcare marketing, VBP will allow us to branch out into other industries and provide the opportunity to work with local clients.

Vinegar-Based Productions (VBP) specializes in video production, content development/marketing, brand development, social media, digital marketing, logo creation, print ad/radio/television production, and web development.

The team at VBP has worked with clients in a variety of industries including travel/tourism, retail, food service, medical devices, telecom, education/academia, not-for-profits, real estate/building, transportation/trucking, B2B, and many more.

And if you’re wondering about the name…physically, we’re right in the middle of the state’s never-ending debate over eastern or western style barbecue. Our vote falls squarely in the eastern vinegar-based recipe. We love it because it relies on a central ingredient seasoned just so: slow-roasted pork with salt, peppers, vinegar, and a little sugar. It’s simple and it’s perfection.

Timeline:

1979: Jennings & Company launches in Chapel Hill, NC by Roger and Dorothy Jennings

1995: Dan Dunlop joins Jennings

1996: Paige Zinn joins Jennings

2012: Dan Dunlop and Paige Zinn purchase Jennings & Company and decide to reposition the company to focus on healthcare marketing; it is renamed Jennings Healthcare Marketing

2019: Dan and Paige launch Vinegar-Based Productions to serve the local market

Principal

Behind every well-run organization is an extremely well organized, tireless, detail-oriented professional. At Vinegar-Based Productions, that’s Paige. She manages our day-to-day operations and spends a great deal of time thinking about the future of the firm and using her ability to make order out of chaos to constantly improve the quality of our product. “Catalyst” is an apt term to describe Paige. Paige was selected in 2013 as one of 60 people around the world to participate in Entrepreneur’s Organization’s (EO) Entrepreneurial Masters Program at MIT. She’s also been selected as Triangle Business Journal’s “40 Under 40″ and “Women in Business” winner. She’s past Chairperson of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, a past Chair of the Morehead Planetarium’s Jupiter Ball Committee, a member of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Board of Visitors, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Media and Journalism Foundation Board Chair, a member of Orange County Economic Development's Advisory Board, and Club Nova Board member. In the office and out, she literally makes things happen.

Producer/Director

Jason is a 20-year industry veteran with experience directing and producing on both coasts. His keen eye helps capture the unique flavor of each of our client’s stories. And he specializes in assembling amazing teams to get the most out of each day on set. All it takes is a few moments on location with him to know why brands like Experian, Red Bull and IBM have trusted Jason with their stories.
